Keith Urban and Taylor Swift Snubbed in 2013 Oscar Nominations

After both Keith Urban and Taylor Swift were nominated for Golden Globe awards in the Best Original Song in a Motion Picture category (“For You,” Act of Valor; “Safe and Sound,” The Hunger Games), we thought they were shoo ins for an Oscar Nomination as well. Not so much!

Turns out the academy didn’t care for either of the country songs completely snubbing both Keith and Taylor. Ouch! Neither has yet to release an announcement (we’re betting they don’t say anything too nasty), but both should be proud of their accomplishments with their songs thus far.

Keith Urban is up for Best Song at Critics Choice Awards tonight, and Keith and Taylor face off at the Golden Globe Awards on January 13.
