Carrie UnderwoodHas No Plans To Leave Country Music

You may have noticed the last few singles from Carrie Underwood have been more on the pop side than country – but don’t let that fool you! Carrie says she has no plans to stray from her country roots.

“It’s nice to branch out.” the superstar tells The Guardian, “You always want to grow as an artist and you don’t want to make the same album again. ” (True that) She adds though she would “never intentionally do anything that might leave country music.”

Well, you’re nothing if not consistent. You’ll remember she addressed a similar issue last year saying she doesn’t feel the need to do remixes.
