Kelly Clarkson Calls Off Wedding Plans to Elope

Kelly Clarkson and fiance, Brandon Blackstock, look ready to walk down the isle in the latest engagement photo released on Twitter yesterday. The couple, however, have called off their wedding! Before your jaw drops in shock at the demise of such a perfect couple, Kelly and Brandon have called off the big, fancy ceremony in favor of eloping! Whew!

The Tie It Up reveals the reason for ditching the ceremony in an interview with People. “We are so busy that we finally just came to terms the other night and were like, ‘So, we change our minds and we want to elope. We just got so overwhelmed by it — all the decisions.”

The guests learned of the couple’s change of heart via an engagement photo with the attached message: “Thank you so much for understanding, but it’s just going to be me and Brandon and his two kids and the minister.”

The original date of the wedding was rumored to be October 20th. She’s been so good about posting pictures of her engagement on Twitter, we’re sure Kelly will share the good news of her marriage soon!
