Lucy Hale Announces Counry Album

You may know her from the hit ABC Family show, Pretty Little Liars (which is my secret obsession), but soon you could get to know Lucy Hale as a country star. The 24 year old actress has announced her debut country album will be released next year.

The Tennessee native has been working with huge Nashville stars including Sugarland’s Kristian Bush and producer Mark Bright over the last several months. With the finishing touches being hammered down, Hale will hit the road on a radio tour this fall!

Usually I’m skeptical when actors/actresses try crossover and become singers but I’ll give the girl a shot! She’s previously noted that “people will either love it or hate it,” and I’m hoping they love it.

Plus, Lucy’s got a few good things on her side when making the jump to country:

She isn’t rushing the process – the announcement of her country album came out months ago and still no album. This tells me she’s taking the project seriously.

Taylor Swift is her musical inspiration – and what more can I say? Taylor has got the country/pop music world figured out. I can’t think of a better person to model her career after!

She’s already got a HUGE fan base – Let’s face it: some people are going to listen to her album out of sheer curiosity because of Pretty Little Liars – but that’s not a bad thing! Her music will just have to keep them coming back for more!
