NBC Releases "Audition" Video For Sunday Night Football Theme

“I’m waiting all day for Sunday Night…” Carrie Underwood is the voice behind the iconic Sunday Night Football theme song but it looks like NBC may have had other options when it came time to choose a singer.
America’s Got Talent hosts Howie Mendel and Heidi Klum; actors Yvette Nicole Brown, Ken Jeong, and Craig T. Nelson; the cast of the Today show and many more are featured in a video “auditioning” to be the singer of NBC’s football song!
The four minute video is super funny and a welcome tease to the upcoming football season. We’re glad though that at the end of the video producers decide to “go with Carrie Underwood” – sorry Ken!
Sunday Night Football – and Carrie’s NFL debut – kicks off September 8th.
