Miranda Lambert to Star in Feature Film

Is country music superstar Miranda Lambert headed to the big screen? That’s the word on the street!

The film – called, “Something in the Water,” – is a female led comedy in which five women challenge their men to a bass fishing competition. And Miranda Lambert wouldn’t be the only country music tie to the film. The scripted was written by country music video director Trey Fanjoy and screenwriter Cindy McCreery.

Fanjoy, who has worked on several of Miranda’s music videos, describes the project as a cross between “Bridesmaids” and “Steel Magnolias,” and of course, it’s set in the good ole south. There’s even talks of Miranda contributing to the soundtrack!

Miranda has had several television appearances over the years including NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and “Project Runway,” but this new role would be her feature film debut!
